Math

Honeycomb’s Math program introduces the child to numeric symbols, decimals, fractions and the union of numbers. The child learns to memorize number concepts, decimals and connect quantities together through addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. By the end of the course the child will be very familiar with the decimal system, number concepts, monetary value, metric units and geometric units, and mathematical notation. We do this by introducing these vast concept with effective methods that are understandable to beginner students. All of our mathematical concepts are enforced with interactive Montessori equipment using:

Language

Our Language program provides an essential foundation for reading, writing and functions of the English language. The child is introduced to sounds, letters, and writing that he or she learns to recognize on a written, visual, and vocal level. Once familiarity is reached the child will learn to blend these sounds and letters to learn new words and ultimately read at a phonetic level. All of our Language exercises are applied with interactive Montessori equipment using:

  • VOCABULARY ENRICHMENT
  • MATCHING SETS OF PICTURE CARDS
  • METAL INSERTS (first pencil exercise)
  • MONTESSORI DESIGNS FOR COLORING
  • NAME TRACING
  • ORDER OF THE ALPHABET

  • SAND PAPER LETTERS
  • GEOMETRIC CABINET
  • ASSICIATION OF SOUND WITH PICTURE
  • WRITING LOWERCASE LETTERS
  • SOUND EXCERCISES
  • INTRODUCTION TO MOVABLE ALPHABET

  • BLUE LEVEL (spelling, reading 4 letter phonetic words)
  • PHONETIC: SHAPE BOOKLETS
